Gang-du works at a snack bar on the banks of the Han River.
His daughter comes by to tell him that he missed an important meeting at school.
Later on Gang-du and his daughter notice a monster in the river who is eating people.
The thing also grabs Hyun-seo, Gang-du's daughter before it disappears into the river.
Later on she phones him that she is alive, and he plans to rescue her from this monster.
