Pan's Labyrinth Movie Story Synopsis

Ofelia, a little girl of twelve that dreams a lot and her mother Carmen are going to live with Captain Vidal. Carmen who is expecting the Vidal's child, hopes that her daughter can get along with her new stepfather who is a harsh military man in charge of cleaning the area from Franco's opponents after the Spanish Civil War. She creates a dark world with secret destinies and strange creatures and a neglected old garden near the house she is living in becomes her labyrinth where she will meet all the monsters that are in her imagination as well as in her daily life. This Art-Fantasy Thriller was released on December 29th 2006, filmed in Bariloche - Argentina, directed by Guillermo del Toro and stars Maribel Verdu, Ariadna Gil, Alex Angulo, Ivana Baquero and Sergi Lopez.
