Over the Hedge Movie Story - Synopsis. It's spring and after they have awaken from their long winter sleep Verne and his friends see a green "thing" that has cropped up right through their house. RJ, a raccoon, explains that the world beyond the hedge is the "gateway to food and wealth. To convince the woodland animals that there is little to fear and everything to gain from their new neighbors. Eventually, RJ and Verne form a friendship as they learn to co-exist with the world of the humans called suburbia. Rounding out the voice cast of "Over the Hedge" are: Steve Carell as a squirrel named Hammy. William Shatner as Ozzie, a possum with a melodramatic flair. Recording artist Avril Lavigne as Heather, Ozzie's daughter. |
