Letters From Iwo Jima Movie Story Synopsis

This War-Drama was released on December 20th 2006, filmed in LA, Iwo Jima, Japan and directed by Clint Eastwood, also known as Red Sun, Black Sand. Letters From Iwo Jima, filmed from the Japanese perspective and Japanese spoken, and Flags of Our Father are Companions that focus on both sides of the WWII battle of Iwo Jima. Ken Watanabe plays the role of Lieutenant-General Tadamichi Kuribayashi, who was able to defend the island for more than 40 days. The american armed forces however had predicted that it would only be a few days before the enemy would surrender.
