Hannibal Rising Movie Story Synopsis

It's almost the end of World War II and Hannibal sees how his parents violently die in Eastern Europe. He must take care of his younger sister now, but she gets killed and is eaten by hungry soldiers in war-ravaged Lithuania. The house where his family used to live has become a Soviet orphanage and he's forced to live there. After he has fled to Paris he finds out that his uncle has died, but his Japanese widow welcomes him. There he's accepted into medical school and this study will provide him with the tools he needs to exact justice on the war criminals that haunt him all the time. This Suspense-Thriller and Sequel Based upon the book by Thomas Harris was released on February 9th, 2007, filmed in Lithuania, France and Prague, directed by Peter Webber and stars Ivan Marevich, Gaspard Ulliel, Dominic West, Gong Li, Rhys Ifans.
