Find Me Guilty Movie Story.
Sent to prison on a drug charge, Jackie Dinorsio refuses to become a witness against his
former friends in the Lucchesi crime family. However, prosecutor Sean Casey mounts
a huge case under the RICO statutes involving dozens of defendants and their attorneys.
For Casey, it looks like an open and shut case, until Jackie, who is in the midst of serving a
30-year sentence, decides to defend himself. Jackie has a forceful personality and an natural
understanding of the legal process that gradually change the course of the trial.
The Lucchese trial became the longest trial in U.S. criminal history, Lasting 21 months during 1987-88.
It has continued to stand out over the years as an epic moment in courtroom history: eight jury alternates
(due to the anticipated length of the trial and the fear of bribery), 20 defendants, 20 defense attorneys
and unusually extensive summations (one defense lawyer’s closing statement ran for five days).
In fact, most of the courtroom testimony in the movie is drawn from actual trial transcripts.
Starring: Vin Diesel, Joe Pesci, Peter Dinklage, Annabella Sciorra and Richard Portnow.
